How to obtain a Los Angeles wedding license
To get your license at an L.A. County Clerk's Office you must appear together at least one hour before closing. You must wait in line (which can sometimes be over an hour long) and then you must return to the line after your license has been prepared by a clerk . Los Angeles county requires that for all marriage licenses you present to us one piece of current government-issued photo I.D. such as a passport, a driver's license, a state I.D. card, and a green card. If you are divorced within the last two years, we need a copy of your divorce decree.
